Oh. My. Gosh!!!!!! What a season premiere!!!!!!!! If you haven't watched, this entry contains SPOILERS....Stop NOW if you don't want to know what happened!
* Oh Andy, you so made me smile when you were "dancing it out" to "You Make My Dreams Come True" in the opening scene! Would have loved it even more if you know who hadn't come into the room.
* "Love workin' with you, McNally, can't imagine my life with you in it...." Oh Sam, how true that is! Great foreshadowing for what happened just seconds later!
* Notice how with everything going on after the shots were fired, and loads of other cops around, Sam made a beeline for Andy! Loved how he talked to her and tried to calm her down. Hated that he had to rush off to find the ambulance.
* Gail moved up a notch for me tonight by the way she rushed to Andy's side!
* Shockingly, I loved Jo (at first) with how understanding she was with Andy, sharing her own story of when she got shot. Once she found out Andy was Luke's girlfriend, her demeanor totally changed, as did my opinion of her....LOL!
* Sam....Bless his worried little heart. He grabs Andy and practically drags her behind the ambulance. He didn't say a word, but he kept touching her....Arms, shoulders, face, all in an effort to convince himself that she REALLY IS okay. Can it BE more obvious how he feels about her?
* And then he goes all cop, trusting his gut when he sees the guy hanging around...."If you have a gun (that almost killed the girl I'm head over heels for) so help me....." And lo and behold...A gun. Sam is NOT a happy cop!
* LOVED the Andy/Oliver scene and the nice reference to Season one in regards to "the talk." Soooo great! Love Oliver!
* Loved how they addressed organ donation. In my opinion, any time the word can get out about that, it's great!
* Nice to get some Dov back story!
* Andy does indeed seem a lot tougher already compared to S1, course getting shot can do that to a person.
* Sam, me thinks you won't be going to guns and gangs anytime soon....A certain brunette will definitely factor in to your decision to stick around. Just sayin'
Alright, that's all I've got for tonight! Leave questions in the comments and I'll do my best to answer them! If you missed the premiere tonight, it will be shown again, Saturday, June 25th on ABC at 10/9 central.
I LOVE the fact that I got text messages from three different people tonight during the show telling me they were watching, and several people tweeted to tell me they were watching too! You have no idea how happy that makes me! Thank you! I hope you enjoyed it and will tune in next week!
Would love to hear what you thought if you did tune in!

Rookie Blue: What You Need To Know
For those that will be reading my Rookie Blue Entries this summer, here's what you need to know:
-The series revolves around the lives of five rookie cops, with emphasis on the life of rookie, Andy McNally.
-Andy's Father is an ex-cop. Andy's Mom left them when Andy was young.
-When season two open, Andy has moved in with boyfriend, detective Luke Callahan.
-Andy however, has feelings with her (now) ex-training officer Sam Swarek.
-Andy arrested two drug dealers on her first day, only to find out one of them was Sam Swarek who had been working undercover for MONTHS trying to get information on the dealers. Sam was none to pleased that a rookie blew his cover. Obviously, he got over it. :-)
-Andy and Sam almost gave in to their feelings on the night of a heatwave and blackout of the city. Andy had to shoot someone in self defense and ended up killing them. It was the first time she had killed someone on the job. She showed up at Sam's house, for what Sam thought was a talk. Andy had other ideas, but the power came on before things could go very far.
-In the season finale. Andy and Sam went undercover as a couple, while nothing was ever said outright, it was clear that both clearly care for each other.
- I am a Sam/Andy fan. If I were a paid entertainment reporter. I realize I would have to be more objective and give everyone a fair share of coverage. Since I am not, know that I will probably talk more about Andy/Sam than anyone else.
-I am not a Luke (Andy's current boyfriend) fan. I gave it an honest effort and just can't like him, didn't care for the character before he was dating Andy, now I REALLY don't care for him.
-Andy's best friend is Traci who has a son.
-I am not a Gail fan (she's the blond rookie)
-Love Oliver. You'll meet him soon enough.
-Enjoy Chris and Dov as well. You'll know who they are soon too.
-My episode commentaries will either be posted on Thursday nights or at some point Friday and may be nothing more than highlights, or full details. As I said above, I reserve the right not to talk about things I didn't find interesting.
-If you will be watching for the first time and have any questions on what you see or don't understand something, please leave a comment and I will answer them in my next "Rookie Blue" blog entry!
****Season Two begins tomorrow (if you're a subscriber, that would be, TODAY, Thursday, June 23rd) at 10/9 central on ABC. Please tune in, DVR or record it! I think you'll like what you see!****

Joy in my day!
My fabulous friend, Katy does these great "joy in every day" blog entries every week that I LOVE. I'm not great at doing them every week, but I had a really great day today and thought I'd share the highlights. I'll call it "Joy in my day." ;-)
-I woke up to a text message from my Texas big brother that made me feel like the most loved little sister on the planet!
-HUGE hugs from Austin this morning when he saw me....Have I mentioned before how I ADORE being an Aunt....It totally rocks!
-Went to Mr. Hamburger for the first time since it re-opened here....SO good!
-The wildfire here is 85 percent contained and firefighters were reporting that there was a little rain this morning that helped! Thanks, Lord! Grateful for every drop!
-TWO days (although by the time subscribers read this, it'll be ONE DAY) until "Rookie Blue" premieres season two! And a new interview came out from my fave, Ben Bass (who plays Sam Swarek) on what season two holds! LOVE Ben! Tomorrow I will TRY to post a "What You Should Know" entry for those who want to read my thoughts on the episodes this season.
- My voice- which was very ify yesterday, thanks to a cold or allergies-not sure which- was back today. Didn't go to work because I wasn't sure if it would hold out, and when you answer phones 95 percent of the time, a voice is kind of important. Thankful that it seems to be holding pretty well...MUCH better than yesterday!
-Quality time with Alexis and Austin this afternoon!
-Doggie kisses from Tazzie.
-Watching "America's Got Talent" with Mom. Not sure how much "talent" there was, but Nick Cannon kept us laughing for the entire hour with his reactions and hysterical comments!
Hope your day was as joyful as mine! :-)

Wildfire Update--We are safe!
For those wondering....
Yes, there is a fire in the Walker County area. It is north of where we live and the firefighters have been battling it for 24 hours now to keep it contained. Evacuations have taken place in that area.
If you are reading this, PLEASE take a second to pray for the situation. The firefighters are exhausted, and with the dry and windy conditions, another fire could pop up anywhere at any time. My ex-boyfriend is one of the firemen fighting this fire and my thoughts have been with him particularly these past hours. We haven't dated in years, but have remained close friends, so my thoughts always go to him when I hear they are battling a blaze.
Pray also for those that have already lost their homes due to these fires and for those that had to evacuate and don't KNOW yet how the situation looks for them.
Rain is in the forecast this week...Jesus, bring the rain!
God is NOT shaken....Even when WE are!

Safe Place
Let me explain something: Television is my passion. Some of you like gardening, some of you like comic books, others like racing, scrapbooking, photography, and other interests. For me, it's television. I LOVE it. Could talk about it ALL day if anyone would listen. My dream job would be to do PR work in the entertainment industry promoting the shows I watch. Since I can't get paid to do that yet, I do it for free on Facebook and twitter. No one forces me. I do it because I LOVE the shows I talk about.
Some people are getting tired of my constant talking about T.V. and wish that I would stop and talk about other things. For those people, let me explain something else: On Facebook, there is a link on the bottom left hand corner of my page that says "unfriend." Please click it if you are tired of what I have to say. Same goes for twitter, you can simply go to my profile page and "unfollow" me. I'm not into either of these for the numbers and would rather have 10 friends on FB/Twitter that embrace me for my passion than 100 friends that tell me to stop talking about it.
This blog is my safe place. I can talk about anything on here and not worry about having to please any sort of an audience, because, while I love those of you that take time to read, this place is MY outlet. I blog for myself. Nobody else. And now days when it comes to my passion, this is the only place I feel I can go to talk about it in as much (or as little) detail as I please.
That being said, "Rookie Blue" is returning for a second season on June 23rd. I'm BEYOND excited about it and once it starts (probably even before) I will be talking about it here A LOT. And I won't be apologizing for it. You've been given fair warning.
I truly appreciate those of you that take time to read this blog. I appreciate even more those of you that take time to read this blog and leave (respectful) comments. I hope you'll continue to do so.

Grateful
Today, I asked Mom if she would mind helping me clean out my closet. If you'd seen my closet recently, you would know that doing this would be no small feat. It looked as if several department stores had thrown up in there.
My Mom, being the amazing person that she is, said she would help and for the next two hours we went through clothes and shoes, separating them into a "keep" and "give to good will" pile. We hung up, straightened, and coordinated everything. Now, my closet looks SPECTACULAR! I can actually tell what is what, and found a BRAND NEW pair of tennis shoes I thought were lost forever! Once done. Dad took several bags of trash out to the garbage for us.
Once that was over, we cleaned up and I let Mom choose were she wanted to eat, and I treated her and Dad to dinner. On the way home I got a strawberry banana smoothie, and then Mom and I watched tonight's Flashpoint.
It's things like this that make me so grateful for my amazing parents!

State Softball 2011
Another year, another state softball tournament this weekend. This time, in Beaumont, TX. While we didn't have the results we were hoping for, Alexis played great and never fails to make me proud with how she handles herself on and off the field. Austin, ever the supportive little brother was also a trouper throughout the weekend yelling for his big sister (when he didn't have a sucker or ring pop in his mouth).
The hotel was....Different. Upon arriving Friday afternoon we were given our key card and entered the room to find someone's half eaten breakfast on the desk, the bed stripped, and towels all over the bathroom floor. We called the front desk and were told that the situation would be taken care of immediately. Half an hour later we were still waiting and since we had about an hour and a half before the first game, we headed to Wal-Mart to find a shower chair for me to be able to take my shower that night (oh, did I forget to mention the hotel didn't have that either?)
After the first softball game (which we lost) Mom, Dad, Austin, and myself headed to Pizza Hut to have a quick dinner. We got back to the hotel and I attempted to take a quick shower (with my new shower chair). Since our room only had one bed, it was decided that Austin would stay with my parents and I would sleep in my sister's hotel room with Alexis on their fold out couch. So, after my shower, I dressed in shorts and a t-shirt and made my way to the third floor and into my sister and brother-in-law's hotel room (or as I liked to call it...The Freezer).
I pulled my shoes off and went straight for the bed...After a giggles with Lexi, and a few minutes of talking to my sister, all was quiet. Lexi was out like a light in 10 minutes flat. I'm not used to sleeping in a place so cold you could hang meat, nor am I used to having the T.V. on ALL NIGHT, but they are so I kept quiet and tried to sleep...Loving the moments when Alexis would cuddle next to me because it allowed me to be next to a human furnace!
Once the night FINALLY ended (and I thawed out), we were quickly on our way to the next game (which we also lost and since it was double elimination also meant our tournament was over). We headed back to the hotel, quickly packed up. said goodbye to the kiddos (they stayed an extra night) and headed to back home.
We had only been gone for 24 hours and I've never been happier to be HOME! My shower was Heaven! The only downside is that we boarded Tazzie at the vet thinking we'd be gone till today (Sunday) and since we didn't know how late we'd be playing, we didn't want to take a chance on having to be checked out of the hotel with several more games to play and Tazzie having to stay in the heat. So, we left her with the vet. And since the vet is closed on the weekend, we can't get her until tomorrow morning....I feel like I've lost my right arm! Missing her like crazy and can't wait until tomorrow!!!
Yep....Another year, another State tournament....Never a dull moment!
