Lookie here! TWO blog entries in ONE DAY! Don't get used to it, probably won't happen again for awhile, I just HAD to tell you guys about the GOD THING that happened to me a few minutes ago.:
I was getting my things ready to go get in the shower and I was thinking about something that I used to pray constantly about. Eventually though, I resigned myself to the fact that His answer was "No" because nothing ever happened with it. Thinking about this particular thing, I turned on my KLove radio app on my iphone as I headed to the bathroom to start the water in the shower. I was stopped in my tracks as I saw their encouraging word for the day:
"Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you." Matthew 7:7 NLT
You wanna tell me that's a coincidence? I think not! Want to guess what God and I talked about during my shower tonight?!
May your week be filled with God things, and may we KEEP ON asking, KEEP ON seeking and KEEP ON knocking!

Weekend Wrap-Up!
My weekend had it's share of ups and downs. Thankfully, 99 percent of it was "up."
Friday:
Mom returned home from being in Dallas since Tuesday taking care of my Grandma who had been in the hospital to have fluid drained from around her heart. She's doing better now. We celebrated by the entire family (minus Tazzie) going to a steakhouse and having a delicious meal together!
Heard that I converted another friend into a Flashpoint fan! WooHoo!
Saturday:
Got a hysterical e-mail from a friend of mine thanking me for a birthday card and joking that he was getting too old. I ADORE this guy and his e-mail had me rolling!
Sunday:
Woke up from a dream starring Patrick Dempsey in which I was in line waiting for his autograph and was ONE PERSON away from meeting him when the person I was with, pulled me away saying, "We gotta go, we're gonna miss our flight!" The last thing I remember is being pulled around the corner and Patrick was gone. Then I woke up!
Had an emotional morning at Church as I talked to a few people about my volunteer position and some concerns I had. Ended up in tears, but I'm hopeful about a few things. Please keep praying about that with me, Thanks!
Went out to lunch with Mom and Dad after Church and topped it off with a visit to Starbucks!
Got home just in time to see Patrick Dempsey and his race team Dempsey Racing place THIRD in the 24 Hours at Daytona, and watched a teary and emotional Patrick give a post game interview, which was all it took to make ME teary and emotional all over again! SO proud of and for all of those guys!
Just watched Julianna Margulies (from The Good Wife) win a Screen Actors Guild Award! Love her and I'm THRILLED she won!
So, that was my weekend! How was yours?

Prayer Request
Many of you know that I volunteer at my Church two days a week. For the most part, I've enjoyed my time there. I love interacting with the people that call in or stop by.
However, lately it's become apparent to me that I may need to move on for a variety of reasons. I currently don't have any leads on any other jobs, but I because of this volunteer position, I haven't really been looking that hard.
Would you pray with me that God would give me guidance and open doors for job opportunities? And if it be His will that He might provide me with a job that might somehow allow me to pursue my passion of television and the entertainment industry.
Would you also pray that until God does move me in another direction, that He give me the patience I need to continue volunteering and a genuine joy that CLEARLY reflects Christ when I am there (and of course, when I'm not there as well).
Thanks for praying! :-)

"Copy That!"
I might as well start labeling Friday's "Flashpoint Friday." It was a week ago today that I got promising news about my new favorite series, "Flashpoint" and here I am today with more good (oh heck, it's FABULOUS) news...
CLICK HERE TO READ THE NEWS THAT MADE ME ALL SORTS OF GIDDY!
And here I was all set to start a letter writing campaign to networks and producers. Guess I can hold off on that. I love how God cares about even the smallest (and in our eyes pretty silly) desires of our heart, because I've been praying about this....And today, got my answer! :-)

Taste
Alexis and Austin have gotten to where they really like Wendy's new french fries with sea salt (I like them a lot too). Today, Lexi asked if we could stop and get her some. We did and got Austin some as well (Dad was picking him up).
Lexi ate hers on the way home and Austin ate his when he got to the house. As he was sitting there eating, he said, "I taste the salt!" Mom told him, "Yes, that's sea salt!" after closely examining his french fry, he said, I don't see the salt..." Mom said, "No, you can't see it, but you can taste it!"
I was struck by how this is also true when it comes to God. We can't see Him in a physical body yet, but we can sure "taste" Him...In the ways in which He reveals Himself in the little and big things in our every day lives.
"Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him." Psalm 34:8
Have you "tasted" God today?

Sounds Promising!
So, I told you all in my Christmas entry how much I'm now hooked on the summer series, "Flashpoint." It's filmed in Canada and does very well there in terms of viewers, US viewers on the other hand seem to be a different story. It seems there are some unaired episodes from the current season (season three) that are now being shown in Canada every Tuesday night (and this is why every Tuesday night I wished I were in Canada).
It's been unclear as to whether or not those episodes would ever be shown in the US or if the show would even get picked up for another season here. Today, I got the following message via twitter:
"@TVGuide: CBS has six episodes of #Flashpoint that are likely to air this summer. Network has option to order more."
Needless to say, this news made my (and a lot of other US fans) day! I'm crossing my fingers that they do in fact show those episodes and that they order more!
I want to urge everyone reading this right now to check out the show. All of the seasons (1,2, and 3) episodes are available for download at Itunes or you can watch a few episodes on CBS.com.
I have the addresses to some of the higher ups at CBS and I plan on writing them in support of the show. Check out the show, and if you like what you see and want to join me in my campaign, let me know and I'll send you the addresses.
This show is a rare find and it needs support if it's going to make it here in the states. So, please check it out and let me know what you think!

It Was Bound To Happen....Eventually!
Here it is, ten o'clock on a Thursday night-two hours AFTER Grey's Anatomy has aired-and I have yet to watch. I know, scary, right? Wanna know what's scarier? I don't really care. I TOLD you....SCARY!
Alexis and Austin spent the night tonight which meant early bedtimes for all (including Mom). Ordinarily, I'd watch and Mom would watch whenever she got the time, but since I'm really NOT all that excited about Grey's these days, I'm waiting until tomorrow night when Mom and I can watch together.
I think it says a lot about the state of the show when I (who used to count the minutes until the next episode) now have a "Eh, so I can't watch tonight....No big deal" attitude. So sad.
On a much happier note: HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATRICK DEMPSEY!

Got Glasses!
As mentioned in my last entry, I purchased new frames at my eye appointment last week. We went and picked them up today (HUGE thanks to Elizabeth for being so awesome and helpful) and I love them!
It was a cold cloudy day today so instead of putting in my contacts, I just decided to wear my glasses all day. Dr. A warned me that because glasses allow your eyes to get closer to 20/20 vision than contacts (because the strength there can only go so high whereas you can go closer to where you REALLY need to be with glasses...who knew? Not me!) that my eyes might get red and tired for awhile in the glasses because my eye muscles are working in ways they aren't used to. He was right. Everything was fine until tonight when I left a meeting at church I noticed the corners of both eyes were red.
It's been AGES since I've worn glasses, much less worn them all day, so my eyes are probably in shock. Wearing them all day won't become a regular thing, as I said earlier, it's just nice to have them when I need them. I'll be back in my contacts tomorrow and (hopefully) when I wake up in the morning, the redness will be gone.
I suddenly feel the urge to burst into the chorus of "I Can See Clearly Now...." *wink*

Wild Week!
Ya know how you have full intentions of doing something and then everything goes kaput? That's the story this week. Was planning on blogging and then had to put computer in the shop. I'm back online now though so...Hi! How are ya?
Had my annual eye exam last week and all went well. I always tend to get a little nervous before my eye exams because of our family history. My eye doctor is AMAZING though, and if there's anyone I want taking care of me, it's him. He keeps a very close eye (no pun intended) on things. I'd promised him last year he could dilate my eyes this year (he's been wanting to do it for awhile and I always bulk because my last experience with eye dilation-before Dr. A was my doctor-was AWFUL...He brings it up and just has to look at me to see I'm not gonna go for it). Anyway, Optomap saved me this year, it's similar to dilation without the side effects so I did that and he seemed satisfied for now. I'm aware though that eventually I'm going to HAVE to let him do the real thing. He's very laid back and calm about everything so he hasn't pushed me real hard about it, but I know it's just a matter of time. Seriously though, if anybody out there needs an eye doctor, let me know...I've been going to him for years and just love him! Wish all of my doctors were as wonderful as he is. I'd recommend him to anybody!
I also got new frames. I got some rimless frames years ago from a place I won't name, and they never did work. No one ever measured me, or anything. In fact, they took the pair off the display case and just put my prescription in them. They didn't fit! So, I've gone for about four or five years with JUST contacts, no other back up. I wear my contacts 99 percent of the time, but there are times but glasses are always nice to have. When you don't feel good, have eye issues (like I did at one point last year) or just don't want to wear contacts to give your eyes a break. I'm blind without my contacts so I really needed the back up. after my eye appointment, I went to look at frames picked out some really cute, sturdy ones, was measured and fitted and I'm going to pick them up Monday! Can't wait to see how they look!
Tuesday and Friday I worked which has been busy because I was the only volunteer to show up this week. Thursday was Mom's birthday so we celebrated, and then Friday I went in a tad late to take my computer in so got a late start at work and you know how that goes.

As for my computer....Something's hogging my disk space (still no idea what it is) but also kept getting errors when I tried to open itunes (and you KNOW how I feel about my Itunes) I was told to uninstall and reinstall, I uninstalled, but then it wouldn't let me reinstall because of some error. I was SICK about loosing my music (over a thousand songs) and t.v. shows that I'd downloaded. I took it in and they were able to reinstall itunes and get my music back! My mouse bit the dust so on the way home I went and bought me a new one (this one is red!) and so...Except for the disk space issue, everything is running great!
Not that you cared to know ANY of that, but there ya have it!
